What This Mom is Grateful For

This week I am grateful for –

Baskin Robbins and their commercial, which accurately portrays me, my son and my ex-husband.  I’d post the Youtube version of the commercial here, but it has been taken down off the internet and I cannot find the ad anymore.

Instead I can only post the link photo of Eat Your Peas!

It’s too bad it’s gone off the web.  this commercial made me laugh out loud.  Probably some uptight women complained aout the mom being the one to gulp down the peas.

I am also grateful that –

I survived Brian’s Back-To-School Parent\Teacher Night.  This blurry photo is proof parents all over America are  involved in their children’s education.  I was bumped by a parent stampede just as I was taking this photo  (that’s my story and I am sticking to it).  I think more parents attended this than kids who attend the school.

I think we all wanted to stay, be kids again and let our kids pay the mortgages.

And of course I am always grateful for –

Preteens who now refuse to smile normal for a photo.

Until next time-

C

Catherine – You make me laugh, you make me think, you make me thankful that I’m a blogger.
I’ll see you later and also in heaven.
    Ciao.

I didn’t take any pictures, but then, there was nothing to take pictures of. Our school had an Open House on Thursday night. We went with out son – our daughter would never want to be seen with her parents – to meet his teachers. Most of the teachers were not in the classroom. We saw his band teacher – already knew her, but at least my husband could fix her sound system. And we saw his art teacher – already met her, too. If they were going to have an Open House, why weren’t the teachers supposed to be there? I still don’t know.

I was reading your blog and more power to you. Your blog reminds me of a redhead that got away, Theresa.

A very lovely, warm person, so put me down as a redhead lover. Just don’t tell my partner, lol.

Wishing you all the best. xxx
