The Honesty Of 11 Year Olds

“Mom?”

“Yes?”

“I don’t like ham sandwiches.”

“Okay.”

“Will you tell dad?”

“Why, does he fix you ham sandwiches?”

“Yes. And can you tell him he’s really bad at making lunches too?”

“Uhhhh, how about we make some suggestions for lunches you would like instead?”

“Maybe.  But maybe you should just show him how to make a sandwich and pack my lunch.”

“Somehow I don’t think he would like that.”

“Why?”

“Well, would you like it if I told you that you made terrible lunches?”

“Yeah.  If I was that bad at it!”
