7:00am (sleeping in time) - I awake to realize my son drank the last of the milk.
7:15am - Trip to the grocery store number 1.
11:00am – I realize we have just used the last of the butter, and I need rice for dinner.
12:15pm – Trip to the grocery store number 2.
2:50pm - “Mom, here’s my gym clothes from my bag and my sweats need cleaning.” No problem. Go to pantry. Only 1/8th cup of laundry detergent remains.
3:00pm - Trip to the grocery store number 3.
4:30pm - “Mom, I don’t have enough colored pencils anymore. I need more green for my project and I just used up the last of the green.” “So you need more colored pencils?! When is this project due?” “Tuesday morning mom . . .”
4:45pm - Trip to store next to the grocery store with son. Does this count as number 4? Even though it’s a different store?
7:00pm - “Mom?” “Yes?” “I think I need a binder for Biology and I am almost out of paper . . .” “Do you have to have it tonight?” “I should, but I can make due until Tuesday.”
Thank God. Because I was going to have to kill myself. When does he get his driver’s license?
Until next time -

For many years I used this blog to tell my funny parenting stories about raising a boy on my own.
Along the way I was diagnosed with Hashimotos disease (the same thyroid disease as Oprah, and yes, we can run companies).
Now that my son is almost out of the house, I thought I'd take you on a humorous journey into the land of thyroid.
Since starting this blog in 2003 I have become known for my inspirational blog project
8 Women Dream.
By day I am considered a professional blogger, freelance writer, author, copywriter, content development authority,
and Internet marketing expert.
Starting January 2012, I will begin sharing my thyroid stories with all the humor you've grown to love.
Come watch me as I show the world that living with an autoimmune disease can be funny and empowering --
because you can't ever give up on yourself.
The posting schedule will be M/F. Really.
