My dad to my mom in 1972: “Mike needs to get his hair cut! Look – you can’t even see his ears!”
My brother back: “I like it this way – just let me have my hair the way I want it!”
My dad: “Well, it’s too damn long!”
Fast forward to 2011 . . .
My ex husband to me: “I’d really like it if Brian would let his hair grow out some. He always keeps it too short.”
Brian back: “I like it this way. It’s easy! Just let me have my hair the way I want it!”
My ex: “Well, it’s too short!”
