THE X-FILES CONNECTION
I am fortunate enough to have talented friends in good places. My friend Heather and her husband Ray have their own businesses in the graphic design industry. Lucky for me, Heather needs help and invited me to work in her home. Gee ...can I come over in my jammies? For now, I have landed in a soft place, and we all know my blog could use a complete re-design. My proficiency in DreamWeaver ranks right up there with my weakness in car repair - thank God for friends who overlook redhead shortcomings (there are few). These two are just the genii to help me take my blog to the next level ... and I won't even have to give B j's in return. Life is good for the redhead.
So first thing this morning I roll out of bed, get ready (which is really jeans and a T-shirt) and am almost out the door when I hear,
"Mom? Can I come?"
"What?"
"Can I come to work with you?"
"No - why are you asking?"
"It's Heather, she won't mind..."
"Yes, but we will be working."
"So."
"So ... we will be working."
"It's just in her house. Besides, she has The X-Files series ... I could just watch that all day..."
"Nope."
"Then can you ask her for them and bring them home?"
As always, there is a method to his madness. I came home with my laptop, a graphic design magazine and a book. Seems I listen to Brian about as well as he listens to me.
But it was sure fun working with Heather today ... a cute man (meaning guy over 40) came by her house. Imagine that. I pictured him naked the whole time he was talking. I never would have been able to do that if my son was in the next room. Heather was happy that I did the naked mental image for the both of us since she is happily married. What are friends for?
Until next time-
C

Not having to give BJ's to get or keep a job is really a plus.
You are a funny girl and I enjoy every single post I get in my inbox.
Congrats on the new gig!
