A LITTLE TAG WILL DO YA
There is this tradition in blog sphere where we get and give awards to each other in the form of a 'tag" or "meme" (who invents these names?). It would be nice if these awards came with a bottle of red wine, but then we'd probably all get drunk and either piss each other off or run around the Internet hugging, crying and saying "I lovesumans".
So without further adieu, this week I was handled:
"THE THINKING BLOG AWARD" ![]()
and
"THE ROCKING GIRL BLOGGER AWARD"
The Thinking Blog Award was created by Ilker Yodas of, The Thinking Blog. I am honored to receive this award. It was passed to me from sexy Lyn at It's A Woman's World, who really should be a redhead. Thank you, Lyn, I appreciate it... and about that bottle of wine...
The Rockin Girl Blogger was created by I have no idea. I am honored to receive this award, because, well it is pink. I love pink. It's the color of lips. I love green. It's the color of money. If you can find me a pink and green award then I will be the happiest redhead ever. (Sorry, the ADD was setting in there). It was passed to me by beautiful Shinade at The Painted Veil AND lovely Darlene at Auntie Dar's Life. Thank you both very much and I do appreciate all your kind words.... and about those bottles of wine...
The rules of these two meme awards are to write a post with links to 5 blogs each - 5 which make you think and 5 that are written by women. HOLY CRAP this feels like homework people. Then we should proudly display the banner for the Thinking Blog Award and The Rockin Girl Award ... or not.
Do these people not see that I am HTML challenged???
Drum roll please-
THE THINKING BLOG AWARD IS NOW PASSED TO:
1. Make Money Online Problogging By Darren Rowse. Darren's post make me look at blogging from all angles and his advise has helped me more times than I can count. His site is easy to navigate, post questions and responses.
2. Nice4Rice By Spud Oregon. Spud was one of the first to help me with my navigation from my AOL blog out to my own website by pointing out what wasn't working on my new site. (He is really a brave young man). He offered me my first MyBloglog train tag which began my journey into social networking.
3. James Ray International By James Ray. James Ray is just so damn cute that if you made him into a puppy I'd buy him and keep him on my lap forever. Ok - don't go there people. On the serious side I like what he has to say about following your life's dream and was key in motivating me to get off my a** and write again for the world to see. I also like that he gives away so much of his information for free.
4. Gluten-free Girl By Shauna James. My Irish Grandmother died from the complications of Celiac Disease
and since I was first visited by Hashimotos disease (and there are those doctors who think we naturally have a problem with Gluten) I have been fascinated by this woman's journey in finding cuisine that is gluten-free.
5. Sensitive Light Photoblog By Graham Jeffery. I love his photographs and can sit and stare at them like works of fine art in a museum. My personal favorite is: http://sensitivelight.com/favorites/?image=8 I have it as my computer wallpaper.
Drum roll please-
THE ROCKING GIRL BLOGGER AWARD IS NOW PASSED TO:
1. A Kinky Woman's Guide To the Universe By Lady Calliah. I used to love to go read her old blog late at night when I couldn't sleep. She used to often visit me at my old blog on AOL.
2. Just Mary By Mary. Mary is one of my old friends from AOL, who has to be one of the funniest women I know (next to me). ![]()
3. The Diary Of An English Courtesan By Olivia Delamere. Ok, does a redhead even really need an explanation for this one? She is a friggin' international courtesan and luxury travel companion. Hey! Maybe she can send me that bottle of red wine...
4. Sheri's Blog By Sheri Lynch. Sheri Lynch is the co-radio host to the popular morning show The Bob and Sheri Show, which I listen and laugh to whenever Brian isn't distracting me with something "boy" important. She now has her own blog ... with her great humor she really should be a redhead.
5. Fighting Fatigue By Sandy. I read Sandy's blog a great deal when she was at her old site and I was suffering with severe chronic fatigue and fibromyalsia sue to my undiagnosed Hashimotos disease. Thanks to her site and support I didn't think I was losing my mind. Thankfully, Armour changed all this for me and I am now filled with energy and happiness again. But I am ever so grateful that people like Sandy care enough about the world to reach out and tell her story.
Well, there you have it, my 5 bloggers who inspire me to think and my 5 female bloggers who rock. I am happy to have the opportunity to exploit these fine people, and, to have some association with them, even if it be from afar.
Is someone sending me wine now?
Oh crap, now I have to actually go find these bloggers and tell them what they've won from the redhead. I bet they'll feel like they've won an Academy Award.
Ya think?
Until next time-

Hi Catherine,
I also love listening to the Bob and Sheri Radio Show during my morning drive to college. Sheri Lynch is one of my personal heroes! I have missed hearing them since I have been out for the summer, but look forward to listening to them again in August. This is another thing we have in common, besides both of us being redheaded, divorced, and mothers of very active boys...
Take care and God bless,
Lynne

Thank you so much, Ms Redhead - I am thrilled to bits with my Rockin' Girl Blogger! Just this week I was thinking that the 'Awards Cermony' bit of my blog was looking a little bare (one award doth not an awards ceremony make) and here you are like a lovely fairy Godmother...
By way of a prize, might I be permitted to stroke your lovely red locks or would that be taking liberties?
