14 Teenage Degrees Of Separation

“Bye mom!”

“Where are you off to?”

“Mom! Practice remember?”

“Bye Mom!”

“Where are you off to?

“Eric is here – remember it’s his birthday party?”

“Hi Mom!”

“Eric invited me to sleepover – can I?”

“Sure.  Want me to help you?”

“No.  I got it.”

“Bye mom!”

Can’t we go back to age 10?

Until next time –

I am dreading the day she gets to that age!

Oh I know. Now I know why people who’s kids are grown up start having really clean houses, go to the gym regularly and go back to school. They have to find something to do with themselves!

I guess this is how my mom feels when I am gone so much.

This may seem strange but I couldn’t see the entire banner image. I am using FireFox 2 – you might want to check that out. I didn’t bring up IE to see what it was like. Anyways, I think you are a funny writer, or is it blogger (?) and this blog of yours is real good and I enjoyed it. You have a unique way of showing what being a mom is like. It looks (by your right column) as if you have been doing this for a while. I am surprised it took me this long to come across your blog and I am even more surprised your blog is not sitting on some top 10 mom blogs somewhere. It seems like you only post once a week? Sundays? I wish you would write more often. Thanks for the laughs Ms. Mom. Lucas

I still miss my boys. I had to go find something to do with myself so I went back to school for my bachelors degree, then went on for my masters. I would still trade it all to have them back running around with all their friends. The house is just too quiet. I am waiting for the grandchildren. I’ll spoil them rotten then send them home!

Thank you for your comments. All I can handle right now is once a week on Sundays for posting. Running 8 women dream takes a lot of my time along with my son, work and the like. Yes I have been doing this a while now and won’t be stopping any time soon.

Can we not go anywhere, do anything? I never thought my three kids would be nags, but they are. Like I can’t have a life. I relate.
